Teen Program

Boys & Girls Club of Cornwall/SDG is proud to offer a variety of youth programming! Our programs are designed to engage youth from Grades 7-12 and provide a safe supportive place where youth can explore interests, learn new skills, and build new friendships. Our program is offered in one convenient location in Cornwall, 506 First St. East and can be accessed Monday to Friday from 6-8 PM. Our program highlights are listed below along with our monthly calendar.

What We Do:

Games Night

Each Monday is Game Night - where you can challenge staff to a game of pool, play some cards with friends, battle it out on PS4 games and so much more.

RBC Raise the Grade

Explore your personal interests, receive homework support, connect with mentors, interact with peers, and increase your digital literacy. *Registration required

Sports Night

Do you like sports? So do we! Come join us every Tuesday - basketball, dodgeball, soccer, you name it and we will play it! We’ll either use our outdoor sports pad or walk to Central Public School to use the gym.

Members Choice

Wednesday are the days when members will have a choice to decide what they would like to do whether its shoot some hoops on the court, hang out on the computers or play some ping pong - the choice is yours!

Board Sports

Every Thursday youth can participate in this program and learn how to Longboard by our experienced staff. Safety equipment is supplied if needed and the program takes place at the clubhouse.

Teen Outings

Each month our teens will enjoy an outing in the community whether it’s boarding down by the water, swimming at the Aquatic Centre or bowling with the group. Registration forms must be completed in order to attend teen outings.

Food and Friends

Every Friday we offer a cooking program that allows youth to prepare a variety of different meals and of course they get to eat it after! *Sign up required - limited spaces

Leaders 4 Life

Leaders 4 Life is an innovative leadership program that focuses on engaging youth in our community to learn different skills essentials to become a leader in their school, community or workplace. The skills discussed throughout the program; communication skills, decision making, conflict resolution, and general leadership skills. Leaders 4 Life also aids with resume building and the opportunity to earn community service hours needed to obtain their high school diploma.

Flex Your Head

Flex Your Head is a program supported by Aztra-Zeneca that promotes mental health and well being for youth. It is designed for all youth and takes a fun and engaging approach to help young people learn useful strategies to prevent and manage stress. The program addresses mental health issues in a safe, inclusive and respectful club environment. FYH promotes resiliency and understanding in order to help youth translate their understanding of mental health into positive anti-stigma attitudes.

Youth Council

Our local BGC council is the voice and face of our youth Club. The Youth Council consist of dedicated and active youth members within our programs. The Council helps with decision making, they create yearly goals for our teen programs and learn to become a community leader.
